AI credits
What's a credit?
Credits pay for the AI behind each answer, at cost: 1 credit is $0.001 of AI usage at the provider's list price. A short answer uses less than a long one; with the default models a typical answer uses about half a credit.
Need more in a busy month?
Add a credit pack whenever you need one, on any plan. Pack credits last 1 year and are used after the month's included credits.
Credits pay for the AI behind each answer. 1 credit is $0.001 of AI usage at the provider's list price, and an answer uses credits for what it really costs: with the default models, about half a credit for a typical answer. Reading your content also uses a small amount.
What happens if I run out of credits?
Your agents stop answering until the next month's credits arrive, and visitors see a short message instead. Workspace admins get an email when 80% of the month's credits are used and again at zero. You can upgrade, or add a credit pack (2,000 for $15, 10,000 for $59), valid for 1 year.
Do unused credits roll over?
A plan's monthly credits start fresh on the 1st of each month and don't roll over. Credits from a pack last a year and are used after the month's included credits.
Is there a free trial?
There's something better: a free plan with no time limit and no card. Free includes 50 credits a month, one agent and your own content, so you can try Aidfolk properly before you pay.
Can I change or cancel my plan?
Yes. Upgrades and downgrades are prorated. If you cancel, your plan stays until the end of the period you paid for, then your workspace moves to Free, and you can resume before then.
Can I use my own OpenAI or other AI provider key?
On Pro, yes. Answers that run on your own key don't use Aidfolk credits, because you pay your AI provider directly, and they keep working if your credits run out.
What counts as a website?
A website is a domain with all its subdomains, so example.com covers www.example.com and docs.example.com. The plan's website limit covers both the sites your agents answer on and the sites read into knowledge.
Which files can I upload?
PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, HTML, MD, TXT, CSV, ODT, RTF, EPUB. Each plan sets the largest file and the total storage. Scanned PDFs need a text layer, since images of text can't be read.
Who processes my payment?
Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, handles checkout, invoices and sales tax. We never see or store your card details.
